About Us

Help save a lifemozziesafe is an international mosquito netting and educational programme whose main aim is to help prevent illness and death caused by mosquitoes - the most deadly disease vectors known to man. Mosquitoes have killed millions of people over thousands of years and continue to kill millions per year by the spread of diseases.

mozziesafe is an international service project of the Rotary Club of Gombak and its Foundation, a registered charity. It is the only international mosquito netting and education project so far, that deals with both dengue and malaria.

Launched on 3 August 2008 by Youssouf Mohammad Oomar, Country Representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), mozziesafe is managed by a dedicated committee of Rotarians. The mozziesafe committee looks after every aspect of the project - from operations to funding, distribution to educational needs.

mozziesafe is operated from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s capital. Located just above the Equator, and surrounded by lush tropical rainforests, our work here include administration, packaging, warehousing and the operational management of the programme.

The financial accounts of mozziesafe are audited by the auditors of the Rotary Club of Gombak.

mozziesafe is managed by a group of dedicated Rotarian volunteers who operated under a committee structure. Currently, mozziesafe does not have any paid staff. Your donation is channelled directly into the purchasing of nets and associated costs.
